This Privacy Policy explains what information Keller Illustrations (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit our website at kellerillustrations.com, what we do with it, and what choices you have. We try to keep it plain-English.
What we collect
When you place an order, we collect the information you provide: your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, and phone number (optional). Your payment card details are never sent to us — they go directly from your browser to Stripe, our payment processor.
When you contact us (via the contact form, email, or commissions page), we collect the information you choose to share — typically name, email, message text, and any attachments.
When you browse the site, our hosting provider logs the same standard server data any website collects: your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use these for security and to fix bugs, not to build a profile of you.
What we don’t collect
We don’t run third-party advertising trackers, behavioral profiling cookies, or analytics scripts that share your data with marketing networks. We don’t sell your information.
Who else sees your data
To fulfill an order, we share what’s needed with the partners who help us:
- Stripe — processes your payment. They see your card details and billing address. stripe.com/privacy
- Prodigi (and other print partners as the catalog expands) — receives your shipping address and the product you ordered so they can print and ship it. They do not receive your payment information. prodigi.com/privacy
- HostGator — hosts our website on their servers. Standard hosting privacy applies.
We will never sell or rent your data, and we don’t share it for advertising purposes.
How long we keep it
Order records are retained only as long as needed for fulfillment, support, fraud prevention, and applicable accounting or tax duties; the operating target is no more than seven years unless a legal hold requires longer. Contact and application records are reviewed after 24 months and removed when they are no longer needed. Unconfirmed newsletter signups expire after seven days. Confirmed newsletter addresses remain until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.
Newsletter choices
Newsletter signup uses double opt-in. Confirmation and unsubscribe links contain a single-use random token rather than your email address. Request an unsubscribe link below; if the address is subscribed, the link will be sent to that inbox.
Cookies
We use cookies for basic site function: keeping your shopping cart, your login session if you create an account, and remembering your preferences. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Stripe sets cookies on the checkout iframe to detect fraud; you can read about them in Stripe’s privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask us to: (1) tell you what data we have about you, (2) correct any of it, or (3) delete it (subject to legitimate-business records like tax/accounting). Email hello@kellerillustrations.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.
If you’re in California, the EU/UK, or another jurisdiction with formal privacy rights (CCPA, GDPR, etc.), those rights apply and we’ll honor them — just ask.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. For material changes (anything that changes what data we collect or who we share it with), we’ll post a notice at checkout for 30 days.
